The River Ardeche is a large meandering river that flows across the region in the south east of France.
In winter when the snow begins to thaw in the mountains, it can create enormous floods, and the river has been known to raise over 50 feet passing through the gorges,
sweeping trees, lrge boulders and occasionally buildings in its path.
